For sports enthusiasts, the site has several fields for playing soccer, ball or volleyball. A magnificent golf course also adjoins the campsite, offering a breathtaking view of the Montérégie panorama. And even though the Domaine de Rouville is surrounded by nature, it remains connected, having the largest outdoor wifi network in the province.
There are also several choices for eating on site, whether in the canteen, the creamery or the campsite restaurant, without forgetting of course the Bistro à Maurice in the golf area. Didn't have time to do your shopping before your stay? Carefree ! The Domaine de Rouville has its own grocery store. Throughout the summer season, it is also host to various artists, notably during the Country Music Festival which takes place this year from August 31 to September 3.
My glamping experience at Domaine de Rouville
I like having access to water and electricity. If you're like me and don't want to miss out on these amenities, don't worry! No need to sleep under the stars to enjoy camping at Domaine de Rouville while enjoying comfort. No need to have your own caravan or mobile home either. The Domaine offers ready-to-camp accommodation with Coolboxes, mini houses fully equipped with shower and toilet.
The Domaine de Rouville does not offer a trailer rental service, but to discover the glamping experience of the site, I for my part stayed in a large Rémillard travel trailer Aspen Trail 29BH (reserved for the media) which I made me want to hit the road. There were all the necessary comforts for everyday life while still taking a break from it to rest and have fun on the site. Moreover, do not hesitate to rent a cart during your stay in order to explore the estate and its paths as you wish. It's a good way to discover the extent of the site as well as the numerous trailers and mobile homes used by travelers and seasonal workers.
The perfect base for exploring the region
Being located in the heart of Montérégie-Est, it couldn't be better, my base at Domaine de Rouville also allowed me to explore the surrounding area. For example, it is just a few minutes by car from the Alpagas du Domaine Poissant farm, which I highly recommend. The Rougemont Theater is not much further away. I was able to see the hilarious play Le Placard, directed by Alain Zouvi, presented until August 5. Le Pédalo will then take over from August 11 to 26. I also really enjoyed the terrace of the Coteau Rougemont vineyard and cider house, offering a magnificent view of the estate located on the mountainside, surrounded by orchards. You can eat there on the go by purchasing the good products on sale at the shop and enhance your lunch with a tasting of wines, ciders, sweet wines and beers.
To escape from everyday life and find yourself in a separate bubble reserved for lightness, the Domaine de Rouville was for me a very good choice of accommodation. I was able to recharge my batteries and escape to this bucolic corner of Montérégie which is certainly worth the detour!
