Parent's Guide 2025
Dear Parents,
This guide contains the necessary information and camp rules to ensure a smooth day camp stay for the summer of 2025. We ask that you read it carefully and keep it handy during the summer, as it contains essential information for you and your child. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
1. PREPARE FOR THE CAMP STAY
1.1. Daily kit
To make it easy for your child to carry their gear, we strongly suggest using a backpack. The child must bring every day: snacks (morning and afternoon), bottle of water, lunch (individually packaged and clearly labeled, ideally with an ice pack, a microwave will be available on site), sunscreen (30 SPF minimum, preferably water-repellent), swimsuit and beach towel, cap or hat, sportswear and sneakers, raincoat and rain boots for rainy days, warm clothes if needed.
Important note: flip-flops and other shoes that do not fit properly are prohibited at all times.
If necessary: Medication in the original container and including dosage details (notify the day camp leader and head facilitator)
1.2. Food allergies
Due to common food allergies, foods containing nuts, peanuts or products derived from them are prohibited.
It is important to explain to your child that they should not share meals or snacks, in order to avoid possible allergic reactions in others.
1.3. Sunscreen
Instructors schedule several times throughout the day for sunscreen application. It is the child's responsibility to apply their own sunscreen.
Assistance can be provided if needed. In the event that a child needs help applying sunscreen, we recommend spray sunscreen for contactless application.
Please apply sunscreen to your child at home at the start of the day.
1.4. Personal toys and electronic devices
Personal toys and electronic items (phones, video games, iPods, or other) are prohibited at camp. They must be left at home.
The facilitators will be authorized to confiscate these personal items and return them to them at the end of the day.
2. OPERATION OF THE CAMP
2.1. Registration
Within the limit of remaining spaces, it is possible to add a registration for a week of camp or for a daycare service, once summer begins. The online registration site is open until one week before the opening of the camp. After this period, you must submit a request to the head counselor to make an addition. Payment is required at the time of registration. To ensure we have your child's information upon arrival at camp, the deadline for registering for day camp is 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the week of camp. For late registration, make sure you have your registration receipt on hand when you arrive at the site.
2.2. Cost
Cost per week per child: $185.00
Cost per week per child at daycare (morning + evening): $30.00
* a minimum of 5 weeks is required for registration.
**Childcare services must be booked at the same time.
*** it will be possible to add a week of camp and/or daycare service
2.3. Start and end of camp
From June 23 to August 8, 2025. Please note that we will be open on June 24 and July 1, 2025.
2.4. Camp Schedule
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
2.5. Arrival at camp
It is important to escort your child to the instructor inside the Maurice-Robillard room. The instructor will record their attendance. Please note that attendance is taken several times a day.
2.6. Departure from camp
It is important to sign the departure sheet when you come to pick up your child.
Only those named on the child's health card may pick up the child. If you need to add a fourth person authorized to pick up your child, please let the head facilitator know.
Identification may be requested at any time from the person picking up the child.
Children not registered for daycare must leave camp by 4:00 p.m. If the child is more than 15 minutes late, they will be taken to daycare and the parent will be charged.
2.7. Absence, late arrival or early departure from camp
If you plan to drop off or pick up your child at unusual times (after 9:00 a.m. or before 4:00 p.m.), we ask that you inform the staff at your child's camp in advance.
You can do this by calling the site your child attends or in person with your child's counselor. If your child will be absent, please be sure to notify us by leaving a message at the camp your child attends, either by phone or in person.
3. OPERATION OF THE CHILD CARE SERVICE
The daycare offers activities and free play that are suitable for all age groups.
3.1. Registration for the daycare service
Registration for daycare is mandatory to benefit from this service. If you wish to add it during the season, you must contact the camp management. It will be important to bring your receipt when your child arrives.
3.2. Daycare service schedule
8:00 to 9:00 and 16:00 to 17:00.
* We are working to give you access to extended childcare for 2026
3.3. Late departure from daycare service
If the parent picks up their child after 5 p.m., they will be fined.
The fine is applicable per family, not per child, according to the following scale:

• 16 to 30 minutes: $10
• 31 to 45 minutes: $15
• 46 minutes and more: $20
3.4. Absence of childcare service
If your child is registered for daycare, but you are not using it for a given period, please notify the instructor.
4. HEALTH
At all times, staff keep participants' medical records with them, including the telephone numbers of people to contact in case of emergency.
• Auto-injector: a child with an EpiPen-type auto-injector must have it with them at all times, in a bag such as a fanny pack attached to their waist.
• Minor incident: In the event of a minor incident, camp staff (trained in emergency first aid) will provide first aid and inform you of the situation when you come to pick up your child.
• Major incident: In the event of a major incident, camp staff will provide first aid and contact you or the emergency contact person identified on the child's health record. If the situation requires it, your child will be immediately taken to a clinic or hospital where they will remain under the supervision of an escort until a parent or designated person arrives to join them. Ambulance transport costs, if applicable, are the parent's responsibility.
Important: It is the parent's responsibility to provide any new medical information that arises between the date the medical form was completed and the participant's arrival date at camp.
5. CODE OF LIFE - Read with your child
To ensure the safety and well-being of the children and day camp counselors, the following rules of life must be respected at all times:

• Use good language and politeness to show kindness

• Warn before leaving
• Leave toys and candy at home
• Throw away waste to keep the room looking nice
• Wash your hands with soap and water to protect others
• Participate for fun
• Have a great summer!
6. DISCIPLINARY POLICY
During their stay, if your child repeatedly displays unwanted behavior despite the interventions of their instructor, the following procedure will be applied:
• Verbal warning: meeting of the child with the camp leader to discuss ways to stop disruptive behavior
• 1st written warning: first roadmap given to the child | meeting with the child and signature of the parent
• 2nd written warning: second roadmap given to the child | meeting with the child, the parent and the camp staff
• 3rd written warning: third roadmap given to the child | suspension from camp for a fixed period (without reimbursement)
• 4th written warning: fourth road map given to the child | permanent expulsion from the camp (without reimbursement).
Each action is assessed individually. We reserve the right to increase the severity of the penalty if warranted.
7. LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED PROPERTY
Domaine International de Rouville disclaims all liability for property lost, stolen, or damaged during activities. It is strongly recommended not to bring valuables to camp.
If your child has lost any belongings, we encourage you to check the lost and found table; it may be there! At the end of camp, all unclaimed items will be donated to a relief organization.
